A Funny Thing Called Love

My well-organized life has been completely upset. By the last person I expected it to be upset by. How could this happen to me????? MOI!!
Ladies and gentlemen, there I was, perfectly happy and single. Smelling daisies on the roadside, I might even add. And I was happy flitting and flirting hither and thither. And then............................
AND THEN..................................

The world collapsed. Or maybe I just started seeing it differently. A certain somebody fell (sorry, understatement of the year!!!!!) perhaps 'got hit on the head by a grand piano' is the expression I'm looking for!! As I was saying, a certain somebody made a certain decision that not only changed his life, but mine as well!! And now I'm sunk. In the same swamp he's thrashing about in himself. We're in a fine mess!!! How did this happen??
There I was, shopping in the "use-and-throw" section. How did I end up finding him?? He was supposed to be at the opposite end of the store, in the "serious" section!!! How could this happen to me? When I thought I was safe? When i thought this "Love- Shmuv" thing would never find me? I had the perfect hiding place. And then up he comes and says, "Boo! Gotcha!"
How did this happen? I was hidden at the back, in the last line. He found me like a homing beacon. And I thought I was safe!!

Sorry for speaking in metaphors, but its a technique I have of hiding the fact that I really don't know what I'm talking about. I think he's the one who's made a mistake. He refuses to believe me!! Trusts me more than I dare trust myself.

Things are changing, ladies and gentlemen. Things are changing a little too fast for me to control. And for the first time, I have a co-pilot in my ship. I worked alone, I was the lone ranger, and now I have a "pardner" to work with.

The weirdest thing is, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's kinda like the movies, and much though I hate to admit it, I'm enjoying it thoroughly!! Its bizarre when things happen so unexpectedly, but thanks to the person who sprung it on me, it's not a half-bad surprise!!!!
