Take 8: Two shows

Today was a particularly eventful day.
Asides from being Saraswati Pujo, I partook of two shows today of exactly opposite intensities.
I went with a bunch of friends to see "Rang de Basanti". And was floored!!!!
Fuck!!!
I haven't been this moved by a hindi movie since "Lagaan"!!!
Fuck again!!!
And the atmosphere too brought back memories of that memorable film. There was screaming and cheering( for various reasons of course!) which added to the moving experience.
In a nutshell, like "Parineeta" was my choice for hindi film of 2005, I doubt if I will be seeing a hindi film to rival "Rang de Basanti" this year. Still............the year is young and hopes are high.

After that, I rushed and scrambled to attend a play at Oxford [ Victoria Station- Harold Pinter. Produced by Theatrecian]...............which I ended up missing thanks to the incredible traffic!!! All I got to attend was the incredibly boring post-play discussion. Also, thanks to my good friends effectively DITCHING me ( u know who u r!!!), I actually had to put a straight face through the whole thing!!!! The only amusements came from Dhruv Mukherjee, the only entertaining and intelligent speaker, and the guy sitting next to me who was sketching Prof. Lal's portrait the whole time.

Well! There u have it. Yet another day in the life of a cheesecake.
Will someone wake me when it's over?

Post 7: As promised

Am sleepy so will make this quick.

Since nobody believes a certain group of us on a rather unique incident which occured today, here is my testimony to the truth of the claim.

Today, at a certain Milon-da's canteen, my hithertofore mentioned good friend "A" was, while serving as errand boy as usual, like the good samaritan he is to a certain no. of lazy asses which refuse to budge from our homely ledge, buying food for another good friend of mine, code-named "suchi". He kept her food thonga on the seat beneath the tree and turned away for a moment ( for what purpose, I cannot recall) and I was in the process of lighting a comfortable gold flake kingsize after a satisfying meal when, much to yet another good friend of mine, "R"'s consternation, a crow ; yes, ladies gentlemen, a crow( Damn! I've forgotten its Latin name!!), swooped down and grabbed suchi's thonga. However, although we tried ( earnestly my friends!!!) to save it from the terrible beak, it appeared our noble corvus had a hungry girlfriend he had promised to treat and had forgotten to bring his wallet!! It flew our grasp and devoured the contents, much to our collective dismay ( Dismay, folks, for we felt for the loss!!).My good friend "A"'s face was indeed so: <80 . But on our return , suchi and others, not witness to such an unusual turn of events, refused to believe us and instead laughed in the faces of us, gallant disciples of truth!!! Ah! The injustice of it all!!![sigh]

Here it rests, therefore, for all to see and judge as they will, but as a parting shot...............
ITS TRUE!!!!PLS PLS PLS BELIEVE US!!!!!
PUHLEEZ!!!
